Lifecycle Cost

How long should we keep our vehicles?

Lifecycle Cost could well be called the real cost of a motor vehicle. Most people think the cost of a vehicle is simply the dollar amount of the up-front purchase price. While the initial cost does impact the vehicle over its life cycle, there are many other elements that impact the real cost of every owned vehicle by thousands of dollars.

Lifecycle Cost is the overall estimated cost for a particular vehicle, including depreciation, fuel, maintenance and repairs, and cost or use of money at acquisition, over an estimated useful term, and based upon mileage and vehicle age.
